This is the second book I've rented/bought in recent months that I can only access through the Kindle app on my phone. Now, I have to go and purchase this book a second time. I asked for a refund on another book and figure I'll never see that money either. When I purchased it, it did not say anything about it not being able to download on my computer the way it has in the past. The book seems to be really good, but the Amazon ebook policy is a joke.

This book was required for Education Law class in teacher preparation class. Excellent read. Relevant cases and easy to read format.

This book is clearly written and easy-to-understand. It features plenty of examples to more clearly illustrate the points it brings up. I actually am enjoying reading this for my college class!

For a $64 rental the book is in really bad condition. I expected better quality.

So, full disclosure I have had an MFA in painting and sculpture and used to teach art history...now I am getting an associates in design that includes a LOT of CAD and 3-D software classwork. I find these two books to be totally fascinating because of the systematic way they approach building vocabularies and design patterns for the parts of speech. I could easily see building these out as a library of essential design masses.....shoot, I may just do that and see what I can make them do.

Really nice book, well printed, and new. Pocket size perfect to take everywear. In content i love it because it helps me understand forms and it's posible variation better. I study architecture, so it's been a helpfull book.

Laurie Schneider Adams received a Ph.D. in Art History from Columbia University. She is Professor Emerita of Art History at John Jay College, City University of New York, where she taught art survey, and at the Graduate Center, where she taught courses on the Italian Renaissance and on Art and Psychoanalysis. She has published articles on iconography and on art and psychology. She is the editor of Giotto in Perspectiveand of the journal Source: Notes in the History of Art; the author of A History of Western Art, The Methodologies of Art, Art and Psychoanalysis, and Art on Trial; and co-author (with Maria Grazia Pernis) of Federico da Montefeltro and Sigismondo Malatesta: The Eagle and the Elephant and of 5 children's books (with Allison Coudert).

I attended Dr. Marghoob's conference and this was a required textbook. We didn't use it, but I did use it in the clinic. Good pictures.

I was disappointed in this book. Many of the sections are well written but the images are generally far too small to show the dermatoscopic features properly. Good large images were a real selling point for the first edition of this book. Nonetheless the contributing authors are all the experts in this field and hence the factual content is good. It would have been useful to have had larger versions of the images available with an online access option as many other texts offer nowadays.

I did not get my invoice and I am upset

The book is beautfully done, and the images are well labeled for a beginner and advanced student. Great. Simply great.

The best Dermoscopy book. Very comprehensive and informative for dermatologist.

This is for the kindle edition: a difficult review to make because I feel like the book itself is very good but the photos are not very good at all; I'm not sure if the quality of the photos is better with the hardcover version; I returned the kindle version right away without reading it because the photo quality was so poor; I'm going to reorder the hardcover version and hopefully the photos will be better. It seems like a quick read; not sure why the book is so expensive but it does seem to be thorough. Looking forward to the hardcover version and will keep you updated about it.UPDATE: the photo quality in the hardcover version is much, much better than the kindle version but still overall quite poor. For example, you really have to use your IMAGINATION to see small caliber vessels in these photos. Some photos are just horrible quality. But the information/textual content of the book is very good. It is a pretty quick read (took me 3 months of reading a few pages everyday) and I feel it was only lacking in regards to the photographs. Hopefully the next edition will have better quality photos on glossy paper.
